IDR is seeking a Senior Cisco Firepower Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Naperville, IL. This role involves supporting the deployment and management of Cisco Firepower security solutions within a telecommunications environment. The company focuses on innovative networking and security measures to serve large-scale clients effectively.
Position Overview for the Senior Cisco Firepower Engineer:
- Provide expert-level support for Cisco Firepower security systems, including trials and proof of concept (POC) work
- Support lab environment activities onsite, creating and maintaining technical documentation
- Work closely with the client’s technical teams to ensure secure and efficient network operations
- Conduct testing and validation of security configurations and solutions
- Ensure all activities comply with organizational standards and best practices
Requirements for the Senior Cisco Firepower Engineer:
- Senior-level experience with Cisco Firepower, including hands-on expertise
- Proven ability to conduct trials, POC, and support security testing environments
- Strong communication skills to support documentation and technical reporting
- Ability to work onsite in Naperville, IL, with flexibility for hybrid arrangements
- Experience supporting large-scale network security projects in a telecommunications or similar environment
