IDR is seeking a Field Technician 2 to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Smyrna, Tennessee. This role involves supporting the installation and maintenance of various communication and security systems within the industry, providing vital services to ensure customer satisfaction and system reliability.
Position Overview for the Field Technician 2:
- Act as a lead on site and direct, inspect, and audit technician’s work as needed
- Perform complete installation and service work on customer site, including installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and testing, based on schedule
- Proficient in five of ten areas of focus: Voice, Data, Fire Alarm, Fiber, Burg Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Digital Signage, Access Points, Networking
- Provide regular updates (email responses and deliverables) to Project Management Team(s), Resource Center and Service Center in a timely manner, and act as a point of escalation for clients, providing resolutions whenever possible
- Assist in training of less experienced technicians in scopes of work and administrative tasks
Requirements for the Field Technician 2:
- Must have minimum of two years as a Technician I or equivalent experience
- Must have industry manufacturer certifications or equivalent structured cabling experience
- Diverse knowledge of some of the following: network cabling, CCTV, Fire Alarm, intrusion, access control, and networking
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, etc.)
- Maintain LIFT and OSHA30 Certifications
